I’ve always found comfort in a good quote.
But, a really great quote elicits more than just a feeling. Rather, it inspires you to take action.
It’s my hope that these quotes I’ve hand-selected and curated for you do just that.
Here’s an idea:
Pick one and put it on your wall, on the background of your phone or laptop, or set a reminder to review it daily. Chances are by making your review of it a daily habit, you will become what the quote prompts you to be.
Let’s dive in, shall we?
“Done is better than perfect.” – Sheryl Sandberg
“My first success was just getting noticed.” – Roosevelt “Bink” Harrell III
“Don’t be intimidated by what you don’t know. That can be your greatest strength and ensure that you do things differently from everyone else.” – Sara Blakely
“Rather than defend your price, work to establish your company as the premium choice in your category.” – David Newman
“Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other’s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.” – Steve Jobs
“Every time you state what you want or believe, you’re the first to hear it. It’s a message to both you and others about what you think is possible. Don’t put a ceiling on yourself.” – Oprah Winfrey
“Do not write to impress others. Authors who write to impress people have difficulty remaining true to themselves. A better path is to write what pleases you and pray that there are others like you. Your first and most important reader is you. If you write a book that pleases you, at least you know one person will like it.” – Guy Kawasaki
“When in doubt, bootstrap. Using your own personal resources is the easiest way to start a business. You don’t have to convince investors about the merits of your idea. You just have to convince yourself.” – Ryan Holmes
“It’s necessary to find a mentor who can invest time to know your personal capabilities and business model.” – Nigel Davies
“Be undeniably good. No marketing effort or social media buzzword can be a substitute for that.” — Anthony Volodkin
“People don’t buy what you do; they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe.”― Simon Sinek
“Your most unhappy customers are your greatest source of learning.” — Bill Gates
“Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” – Mark Twain
“Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, the mind can achieve.” – Dr. Napoleon Hill
“The cover-your-butt mentality of the workplace will get you only so far. The follow-your-gut mentality of the entrepreneur has the potential to take you anywhere you want to go or run you right out of business – but it’s a whole lot more fun, don’t you think?” – Bill Rancic
“If you want to be an entrepreneur, it’s not a job, it’s a lifestyle. It defines you. Forget about vacations, about going home at 6 PM. Last thing at night you’ll send emails, first thing in the morning you’ll read emails, and you’ll wake up in the middle of the night. But it’s hugely rewarding, as you’re fulfilling something for yourself.” – Niklas Zennstrom
“The most valuable thing you can make is a mistake – you can’t learn anything from being perfect.” – Adam Osborne
“Entrepreneurship is the last refuge of the troublemaking individual.” – Natalie Clifford Barney
“Ideas are the true currency of this next century.” – James Altucher
“Don’t worry about failure; you only have to be right once.” – Drew Houston
